Many unexpected events happen during live reporting. Some of it is fun and some is dangerous. Anyway, a recent experience of a female reporter is now going viral on social media.
Australia’s Today Show reporter Andrea Crothers has this experience. Andrea had gone to report on the recent floods in Brisbane. It was live reporting. At that time, a mosquito suddenly appeared on her face. Andrea slapped her face as an immediate reaction at that point. When she remembered that the incident was live, Andrea got upset and ran away from there.
Later, Andrea shared an interesting video on social media with comments from her office colleagues. In it Andrea has a mosquito on her face and she slaps it to make it go away. And in the video she posted, colleagues are commenting on the incident. Many of my colleagues couldn’t stop laughing at the video.
However, the anchor also says that there are many kinds of insects and other things in the flooded area. He also says that reporters travel through such conditions and bring news to your homes with difficulty.
Anyway, the video shared by Andrea quickly caught the attention of social media. He is ok. There is no big problem with getting slapped in the face. However, Andrea says that she did not get workers’ compensation from the company because she slapped herself in the face.
