A serious accident occurs in a parking lot near Munich. An elderly woman hits several pedestrians and a baby with her car.
A 75-year-old woman hit and injured four people with her car in Oberschleissheim (Munich district) on Wednesday. According to the police, the woman drove into an 86-year-old pedestrian while pulling out of a parking space for unknown reasons and then rammed another car. The 86-year-old woman was trapped between the two vehicles.
According to police reports, the 75-year-old then reversed and hit a 74-year-old woman and her 39-year-old daughter, who had her nine-month-old baby in a stroller. The stroller was thrown about ten meters away by the collision with the car, but did not tip over.
While the 86-year-old was seriously injured in the accident, the other two pedestrians sustained minor injuries. According to a police spokeswoman, they complained of pain in their legs and feet. The baby suffered several bruises. All four were taken to hospital for treatment.
The 75-year-old driver was uninjured. The two cars sustained material damage amounting to several tens of thousands of euros. The traffic police have begun further investigations into the circumstances of the accident.
