Fell the? TikTok suffers from instability this Tuesday and sends users “read a book”

TikTok is one of the most downloaded apps in the world and today many users are irritated by the instability that is preventing them from using the social network, especially when viewing videos. However, what most impressed many people is the joke used by the official TikTok account, which told users of the platform to “read a book” while the problem persists.

According to DownDetector, the crash notifications started at 4 pm with a peak of 768 complaints occurring at 5:09 pm. The main failures reported by users were when performing the following operations on the application:

  • Watch videos: 54%
  • Login: 39%
  • Upload videos: 7%

In addition to DownDetector, users also went to Twitter to complain about TikTok’s instability:

As you can see above, some users claim that the bug has already been fixed, however many are still experiencing issues with the application, which continues to have instabilities and login issues.

In addition to errors in uploading videos, during the failure many profiles had zero followers, which raised concerns for some users.

TikTok’s response to the issue was given at 5:13 pm, when TikTok’s official Brazil profile posted the Tweet you can see above, where it jokes with users saying, “Turn off your TikTok and go read a book.”

The response from TikTok’s global Twitter account was a little more detailed:

Our team is already aware of the issue and we are working on a solution. Thanks for your patience in the meantime.

For now, some users claim that they are able to view videos through the app, but others continue to face the aforementioned problems. The main suspicion is that the failures have occurred due to some configuration problem in TikTok servers, but so far nothing has been confirmed.

Please let us know in the comments if you noticed a problem with TikTok today and if your account is working normally.
