Former President Felipe Calderón announced on his Twitter account that a COVID-19 test was carried out and that it tested positive.
In his message, he assures that his symptoms are mild and that he is isolated and at rest.
I share with you that I took a test #COVID and it came out positive. Fortunately the symptoms are mild and I am fine, I am isolated and at rest. An apology for not being able to accompany you in your campaign closings. You have to go vote on Sunday and block authoritarianism.
The ex-president, who governed Mexico from 2006 to 2012, called in the same tweet to go out to vote next Sunday “to block the way to authoritarianism.”
On May 25, Calderón and his brother collided in the 2021 Maya Rallyaboard a Volkswagen Karmann Ghiafrom the 70s. The incident occurred in the center of Campeche, where the competition began.
