In Worship, you take control of the end of the world. It’s up to you to inspire mere mortals to don robes and become your merry followers, ready to sacrifice themselves to invisible Eldrite gods to bring about the end times.
Today’s gameplay video shows everything you need to know to become a true leader of the occult: rituals and followers, exploration and combat, base building and progression, and finally Tests of Faith.
In Worship, every good leader needs a following. The bigger your following, the more powerful you become. After converting followers (step one for any good occult leader), you spread your influence and gain power by making sacrifices, solving puzzles, and killing enemies. Draw powerful ritual sites with your blood – or that of your followers (after all, what are they for if not sacrifice?) – and use these dynamic blood sites to brutally destroy heretical enemies. Fulfill the gods’ orders to gain even more power over those who oppose you (and those who don’t!).
Leading your loyal followers is a big responsibility, and you must use your time at your base strategically: make sacrifices, regenerate your health, and upgrade your skills. Finally, pray at the altar to receive a special Trial of Faith, which, when successfully completed, will bring you closer to your ultimate goal – the end of the world.
Worship is blasphemous fun that takes players through a visually unique and thematically horrific world where piles of corpses and creative sacrifice are rewarded above all else. With up to four players in co-op, it’s as chaotic as it is bloody for murderous fun.
