Feijóo calls for the housing deduction to be recovered and for banks to help middle and low incomes pay off their mortgages

The head of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, launched this Thursday two proposals to help families in the face of the increase in mortgageswhich provides for the creation of a fund with contributions from banks and the state in favor of medium and low incomes, as well as the recovery of the “old tax deduction for the purchase of habitual residence”.

In an event in Guadalajara, after visiting the NIPACE Foundation, Feijóo stressed that his party is “worried” about the economic and social situation of the state and wants to be “useful” by proposing to the Executive to evaluate, at a time when mortgages can rise by an average of 200 euros.

Fiscal detraction

For this he proposed “resume the old tax deduction for the purchase of habitual residence”, since, as he said, it is “essential that whoever bought a mortgage can deduct income tax on the amount paid for the loan”.

Fund financed by the bank

In second place, he proposed to create a fund “with contributions from the banks” and the Spanish government to help middle and low incomes cope with mortgages. In his opinion, these two “joint” measures can help families right now because they do “justice” with low and medium incomes.

“I ask the president of the government to help the people and to worry about their problems and not to help the condemned politicians so much”, proclaimed Feijóo, referring to the leaders condemned for the ‘procés’ and the reform of the crime of sedition.
