The ground zero of the coronavirus recovers the pre-pandemic life. From next weekend users of residences and day centers in Galicia will be able to eat together, do activities and have fun in groups, go out and come in of the centers without restrictions, receive visits without limits.
It was announced by the president of the Xunta after visiting the Volta do Castro residence for the elderly in Santiago de Compostela, a center in which no contagion has been registered among users in the 15 months of the pandemic. Only the use of a mask will be maintained, Feijóo trusts that it will be for a short time at least abroad, and continuous hand washing.
The president of the Xunta ends the pandemic in nursing homes and day centers, assures that it is a decision that has the endorsement of the clinical committee of experts that advises the Galician government.
During that act, and questions from journalists, Feijóo has again urged a protocol for the use of masks in outdoor spaces after yesterday it was not addressed in the Interterritorial Health Council.
“I hope that we are not late also to withdraw the use of masks as we have been late to other approaches during the pandemic”, Núñez Feijóo has reproached that he considers that this issue should have been discussed at the meeting held on Tuesday by the Government and the autonomous communities.
