FOGUIFOOT PRESS RELEASE : The Guinean Football Federation learned this afternoon through various channels, the news of the cancellation of the sponsorship contract that binds it with the Guicopres Group, as a result of which its support for national championships and national teams to withdraw definitively.
Although they were surprised by the twist that is printed on this information, the federation would like to point out that Guicopres had contacted him about his views regarding the non-fulfillment of some of his duties the contract is, in particular, in the Championship of Ligue 1 and 2. so they had announced the cautious measure of the suspension of the contract until the two parties sit down to review the violations and take corrective measures to be taken as happens in all contracts.
The Guinean Football Federation would like to announce that this process is ongoing and GUICOPRES will continue to support Guinean football because in addition to financial support, Guicopres is a partner of the federation, co related to several events, in particular, Guinean national teams, all categories together.
As a result, the federation confirms that Guicopres has not withdrawn from financial support and that they cannot do so for obvious reasons.
At the Guinean Football Federation, the President and CEO of Guicopres, Mr. Kerfalla Camara KPC, on Saturday afternoon, November 2, 2024, expressed his desire to support Guinean football and clearly indicated that he had not said that – never left him. On the other hand, he hoped that the exchange process would be examined on the main aspects of the contract, thus avoiding anything that could affect the correct performance.
Mr Kerfalla Camara KPC also expressed his willingness to see the National Championship begin for the benefit of football fans. That is why he announced some arrangements that Guicopres is considering to order equipment, as soon as possible, from Ligue 1 and 2 clubs according to the terms of the contract. As part of the mid-term review of the contract between the Federation and Guicopres, a meeting is planned for the coming days to change the contract according to the current situation.
