As we chatted with Goichi “SUDA51” Suda in the interview below, we’re playing No More Heroes 3 for the sake of reviewing it, so we wanted to tell him that we found some of the “Designated Matches” a bit too difficult on the Bitter difficulty, such as the difficulty spike. suddenly, though it might just be because we weren’t prepared for the fight. And although Suda-san’s answer is basically “git gud”, he would like to give some suggestions to Gamereactor readers to slay the bullies:
“Actually, to be honest, we were a bit worried about the other way around! When we were making the game, we thought, ‘maybe this is a little too easy’?” says Suda51 while chuckling at about 3:50 p.m. in the video. “Are people going to be mad about this? (…) But yes I do have some really good suggestions for beating some of the more difficult bosses”:
No More Heroes 3: Suda51 Battle Tips
- “There are several difficulty levels in the game. Generally, when I’m debugging, I play on the ‘Bitter‘, because it fits me. ‘Spicy‘ is a bit more difficult [Cat.: tingkat kesulitan ‘Carolina Reaper‘ akan terbuka setelah kamu menyelesaikan game-nya]”.
- “As you mentioned, there is sushi. At every opportunity, take the sushi. And don’t forget to take the ‘sushi sets’ because they will really help your sustainability. For example, if you get a Defense Mission, or between levels if you have time, eat it [DonMai] sushi”.
- “Besides, this is important and I think people might have missed it: during some events you can get a Slash Reel, a moment for you to try to match three pictures. If you manage to get an upgrade Full Armor Travis, take good care of it, don’t use it right away and use it for one of the more difficult bosses”.
- “One more thing, there are various abilities you can use in the game, and you can also create and upgrade different Death Glove Skills and Chips. My personal recommendation would definitely be Death Kick [L+B]. Use his attacks and increase his upgrades as much and as early as possible. You can also upgrade other moves, but Death Kicks are great in general and for some bosses and specific battles, as you can use them to shorten the distance between you and your opponent without worrying about getting hit. And if you increase it, the attack becomes very strong.
“The point is, keep these three things in your head and of course you have to get used to the gameplay yourself,” added Suda-san.
No More Heroes 3 is out today exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. Do you think the game is too difficult or is it the other way around?
