Fedriga, head of an FVG delegation, flies to the USA tomorrow

(ANSA) – TRIESTE, OCTOBER 23 – The mission of the president of the Fvg Region Massimiliano Fedriga in the United States begins tomorrow. The governor will leave tomorrow for Washington to participate – like last year when the Fvg was “Region of Honor 2024” – on Saturday, in the 49th gala of the Niaf, National Italian American Foundation, the powerful association founded in 1975 to promote Italian culture, the largest body of Italian Americans, 20 million people. The purpose of the trip is to continue the process of promoting the region, both from a tourist and economic point of view. During the evening, according to what has been learned, Lonely Planet guides in English and promotional products from Friuli Venezia Giulia will be distributed, placing the emphasis on next year’s event: Go!2025. Fedriga will then give a speech in front of more than a thousand guests. The signing of the memorandum of understanding between FVG and Virginia by the two governors, Fedriga and Glenn Youngkin (Republican), is expected on Monday 28th to favor Italian companies that want to invest in the USA and, vice versa, American companies that are attracted by Italy. An act which, according to Fedriga, “will contribute to consolidating the collaboration between the two territories”. Other economic, institutional and promotional events are also scheduled (with Promoturismo). On Friday the delegation will visit the headquarters of Amazon Web Services; in the evening a reception is scheduled in the Italian Embassy, ​​under the banner of “I am Fvg”, in the presence of the Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti and the ambassador Mariangela Zappia.
