The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution that will significantly speed up the creation and delivery of domestic drones to the front, and will create conditions for the rapid development of the Ukrainian Miltech.
About it declared Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.
According to him, this is “a historic decision that can accelerate our victory and develop the UAV market in Ukraine.”
“Within the framework of the Coordinating Headquarters for the production of drones, we have worked comprehensively with all Ukrainian UAV manufacturers. We have collected their pain points and blockers and we are moving systematically in resolving issues. Together with the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Strategic Industry and the SSSSZI.
Today’s solution will allow UAV manufacturers to develop more actively, scale up, reinvest profits, and compete with foreign companies. Instead of wasting months on unnecessary paperwork and bureaucratic work – accelerated admission of UAVs to operation, their purchase and delivery to the front,” the minister wrote.
According to him, the resolution fundamentally changes the approach to the Miltech business itself on the part of the state.
“Previously, profit on foreign components was 1%, on own goods and services – 30%. Such regulation hindered the development of Ukrainian manufacturers, encouraged them to move abroad or manipulate documents. This had to be changed.
In order to stimulate the development of UAVs in Ukraine and attract more companies to the production, scaling and increasing the level of localization of components, the state raised the profit share to 25%,” Federov stressed.
“A month ago, we already removed the problem of expert control of dual-use goods by adopting a fast-track for drones. And now we can officially say that the Army of Drones project has grown from a conditionally volunteer project into a large-scale state program to support the development of the domestic UAV market. This is a direct path to victory and saving the lives of defenders and defenders,” he concluded.
