Fedor Emelianenko knocks out Timothy Johnson at Bellator in Moscow

Moscow, RF. 45-year-old MMA legend from Russia heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko (40-6) won a bright early victory over the American in the first round Timothy Johnson (15-8) in the Bellator 269 Main Event.

Emelianenko, for whom this was the first performance in his homeland since June 2016, entered the battle for the first time since December 2019.

Several exchanges of blows did not bring significant results for any of the fighters. Johnson grew bolder and went forward. It was then that Emelianenko met him with a striking series to the head. Right-left-right – and Timothy is knocked out.

It was Fedor’s penultimate fight under Bellator’s contract. Moreover, he has the right to end his career at any time.
