One of only two players, along with Novak Djokovic, to have beaten Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros, Robin Soderling has announced that Roger is the most difficult tennis player to face
Playing against Roger Federer has never been easy. Soderling confirmed this during a podcast broadcast on “The Functionnal Tennis Podcast“.
The 36-year-old former tennis player returned to his final lost to the Swiss in the Roland Garros final: ”I approached this event badly. Opposite, Roger was calm, he was much more experienced, he took his time, put his game quietly. Either way, Roger has always been the most difficult opponent to face. Rarely have I felt good about him. It makes you uncomfortable on the court. His fast play was not suitable for my long swings, especially forehand ”
A beautiful tribute to Federer.
