Major record winner Roger Federer is on the entry list for the Australian Open in early February. This emerges from a message from the organizers on Thursday in Melbourne. Most recently, however, the Swiss tennis star said that after two operations on the right knee, participation could be tight. The 39-year-old admitted in mid-December that he was not yet at 100 percent.

The start of the Australian Open was last postponed by three weeks to February 8th.
