Roger Federer said he would deeply regret not seeing Rafael Nadal compete at Roland Garros this year. Nadal, who has won the French Open 14 times, has announced that he will not be playing at the French Open this year as he has not recovered from a psoas muscle injury.
Federer, one of Nadal’s biggest rivals, took part in a Q&A with fans on Twitter. “Will you miss Rafa Nadal at Roland-Garros ?” a fan asked Federer.
Federer replied: “Yes, I will miss seeing him play at Roland Garros + @RafaelNadal = one of the most incredible records in the history of all sports. ”

Federer sad about Nadal’s absence from Roland-Garros.
When Nadal was injured in Australia, doctors told him he would be ready to play again in six to eight weeks.
But Nadal suffered several setbacks in his recovery, which caused him to miss much more than expected. Last week in Manacor, he said there was no point going to Roland Garros without feeling capable of playing his best tennis and winning the title.
“I’ve worked as hard as I can every day for the past four months. These months have been very difficult because we have not managed to find the solution to the problem I had in Australia.
Today, I’m still in a position where I don’t feel ready to compete with the standards I need to play at Roland-Garros. I’m not the type to try to be present at Roland-Garros and put myself in a position that I don’t like.
My ambition is to try to take advantage of next year, which will probably be my last year of professional competition. My motivation is to try to say goodbye to all the important tournaments.
I will not set a return date before then. I might reach the Davis Cup at the end of 2023,” Nadal explained last week.
