Among all the bad news, there is finally some good news: the first federal state is now releasing a subsidy for thousands of citizens. This means they have more money in their accounts.
For a certain group of people in Germany, there are some problems that are difficult to solve but have a drastic impact on the future. One of the first federal states has recognized this and is now releasing a subsidy for thousands of citizens. This means they get more money, but it is also intended to serve a specific purpose.
Problems almost reached the consumer
As consumers, we often don’t look behind the scenes – and in most cases we can’t. We can think and imagine certain parts, but we have difficulty grasping the full consequences. We only notice that something is wrong when the price changes. Namely when we have to pay more or certain food and non-food items are no longer available or are difficult to obtain.
State wants to solve problems
A particular problem that affects almost the entire world of work is the shortage of skilled workers. Those who are still fully trained are retiring. But there are no more young people who are enthusiastic about certain professions and start training. This has serious consequences in some areas. This affects the world of work of bakers, for example. The work of bakers involves hard physical labour. In addition, bakers start work between two and three in the morning in order to have fresh goods on display for customers every day. For these reasons, bakeries in Germany are simply no longer able to find new recruits. Those who ensure that we have fresh baked goods on our breakfast and coffee tables every day are suffering the consequences.
Now the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has released a subsidy for people in the baking profession. From August, they will receive a five percent pay increase due to the so-called “fresh from the oven pay increase”. This means that the professional group will have a three-digit amount more in their account. There will also be a retroactive inflation compensation bonus of 90 euros for June and July. A full-time baker will receive up to 174 euros more per month. A journeyman baker will then have an average of 132 euros more pay in their account. With the pay increase, the state not only wants to reward people’s hard work, but also make the profession of baker more attractive.
