Federal program payments are delayed

Juarez City.- Due to failures in the banking system for the bimonthly deposit of support from various federal assistance programs, more than 90,000 beneficiaries on this border will receive the resource with a delay of at least 10 days.

Since Monday, people registered in the pension programs for the elderly, people with disabilities and children of working mothers reported not receiving the resource corresponding to the second two-month period of the year on their card, so they had to go to the central bank in the center of the city to form in rows of up to three hours, without being able to reflect the deposit.

“Since Tuesday we made the report at the central level. There is a lag in the reflection of the deposit, they tell us that it is a banking issue, because there are so many deposits, the system is being delayed. It is taking about 10 days to be reflected,” said Elizabeth Guzmán Argueta, regional coordinator of federal government programs.

Given the delay in the deposit of the appeal, the agency recommended the use of the Welfare bank application to check the balance or call the telephone number 800-900-2000.
