Reitzenhain. Officers from the Chemnitz Federal Police Station executed a total of five arrest warrants on November 8th and 9th. The journey ended in prison for three people.
Fine or alternative imprisonment of 30 days
On November 8th, during a check in Reitzenhain, federal police officers discovered a 59-year-old Slovakian national who was being sentenced by the Chemnitz public prosecutor’s office. He was sentenced by the Chemnitz district court to a fine of 1,647 euros or a substitute prison sentence of 30 days for unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident. Since he could not pay the outstanding fine on site, he was taken to the correctional facility.
Criminal proceedings against 25-year-old
A 25-year-old Romanian and a 32-year-old Georgian national were also admitted to the correctional facility yesterday. The 25-year-old Romanian had a notice from the Krefeld public prosecutor’s office. He was sentenced by the Krefeld district court to 2,774.85 euros or a substitute prison sentence of 120 days for drunken driving combined with driving without a license.
Serious case of theft or substitute imprisonment
The Hamburg district court sentenced the 32-year-old Georgian to a fine of 1,490.19 euros or 31 days for a particularly serious case of theft.
Two people were able to continue their journey
However, a 59-year-old Romanian and a 47-year-old Czech citizen were able to continue their journey after paying the respective fine. The 59-year-old still had to pay an outstanding fine of 1,327.50 euros. He was convicted by the Leipzig district court of driving without a license. The Dresden public prosecutor’s office had issued a notice of criminal prosecution against the 47-year-old Czech citizen. He was sentenced by the Dresden District Court to a fine of 427.50 euros for theft.
