It will continue until next October 3, which will witness the end of the campaign period for the candidates at the level of the emirates of the country.

The electoral procedures continue during this period, as the National Elections Committee set the date of September 25 and 26 as a final date in which any candidate may request the withdrawal of his candidacy and exit from the electoral race, followed by on September 27 and 28, the period for the candidate to choose his representative from among those registered in the Electoral College. For the emirate to which he belongs, where the role of the candidate’s agent is limited to attending the voting process and counting procedures and exercising the powers of the candidate in this regard.
398,879 male and female citizens, who are members of the electoral bodies in the various emirates of the country, are entitled to vote during the three polling days, as the first will be held on October 4, the second on October 6, and the third on October 7.

The lists of electoral bodies received by the National Elections Committee from the offices of Their Highnesses the members of the Supreme Council of the Federation and Rulers of the Emirates, and according to their geographical distribution, are 126,779 members in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, 73,181 members in the Emirate of Dubai, 72,946 members in the Emirate of Sharjah, 12,600 members in the Emirate of Ajman, and 7,577 members in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain. 62,197 members in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, and 43,599 members in the Emirate of Fujairah.

With the committee announcing on August 28 that it had not received any appeals against the initial list of 309 candidates from all emirates of the country, 128 of whom are women, the preliminary list of candidates for the Federal National Council 2023 is expected to issue a decision tomorrow to approve the primary names in the final lists of candidates.
The National Elections Committee called on all candidates to review the rules and provisions related to the elections, especially those related to electoral campaigns, in order to ensure that they proceed in accordance with what was decided by the executive instructions for the elections.
