Federal 2: beaten 15-23, Malemort took the lead against Poitiers

Forced to share points with Tours a week earlier, Malemort had high ambitions when he received the Stade Poitevin this Sunday afternoon at Raymond-Faucher. These intentions have remained a dead letter.

At the end of what is arguably their worst game since the start of the season, the men of Robert Chassagnac and Clément Guérineau logically lost to Poitiers (15-23).
The Corrèze coaches had asked their troops to take care of the departure. At half-time, Poitiers led 15-0 after scoring two tries for the loss of “black and gold” balls.Leading 10-0 after only 13 minutes of play, Malemortois are unable to recover.

Fever throughout the first period, marked by an interruption of over half an hour following the injury of the Cloup in the third line of Corrèze, Malemort found some colors in the second act.

On a ball touched to follow by A. Jacq, Van Théobald brought out his burst of speed by bringing Malemort under 10 disbursement points (10-18).

Unfortunately for Malemort, the winger moved into full-back position and quickly made a serious mistake. Wanting to save a lineout, he handed the ball back to Chaleroux who ran to score without worrying. A match and more generally a wall to forget for Malemort who fell in the second part of the table.
