At the invitation of the president of the Cameroon Football Federation (Fécafoot), Samuel Eto’o, an ordinary session of the Fecafoot executive committee was held this Monday, September 10, 2023 at the Shalom hotel in Garoua. But it was five days later that the decisions taken on this occasion were made public. In total, 15 resolutions out of 16 were taken during the work of the said session. The first decision is that “Mr. Guibaï Gatama is no longer authorized to take part in Fecafoot activities for the duration of this suspension“. Notwithstanding, the journalist Guibaï Gatama who did not take part in this executive committee highlighted some violations.
The journalist, member of the Executive Committee of the Cameroonian Football Federation, indicated in a letter dated September 8 that he will not take part in the meeting of this Monday, September 11, 2023. The latter explained that he did not receive the documents relating to the agenda of the ordinary session of the executive committee of Fecafoot.
The representative of the Far North Regional League then notified Fecafoot through a bailiff on September 8, 2023, of his non-participation in the Executive Committee of this Monday, September 11, 2023. In this letter, we could read “In the absence of documents allowing me to act with knowledge of the facts and thus effectively represent the regional league of the far north of which I am the sole representative on the executive committee, I inform you that I could not take part in the executive committee session of September 11, 2023 in Garoua and reserves all my rights to act».
The Fecafoot Executive Committee has decided to provisionally suspend several presidents of the federation. They are Kome Max Jérôme president of Dragon de Yaounde, Nseke Adolphe president of Aigle du Moungo and Owona Gaspard president of Renaissance de Ngoumou. Furthermore, members of the General Assembly of the governing body of Cameroonian football, the latter were suspended “due to the violation of their obligations referred to in article 14 paragraphs (1k) of the statutes of Fecafoot » we can read. One of these 15 resolutions puts an end to the vacancy in the position of “resigned” 4th Vice-President of this institution.
For this purpose, the members present chose Félix Mbigah, president of the North West Regional League “The Executive Committee unanimously provided for the replacement of Mr. Henri Njalla Quan Junior as 4th Vice-President of Fecafoot by Mr. Mbigah Felix», we read at the end of resolution number 13. In addition, the now ex-president is replaced within the Executive Committee by Essa Pius Tabi. This is the case for Joseph Feutcheu “resigned” and Boubakary Bello deceased who are replaced respectively by Youssoupha and Augustine Bouadeu until the next Ordinary General Meeting. Fecafoot also intends to respect the decisions of the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
It is in this vein that the Panther of Ndé Nzuimanto contradicts these allegations on September 16, 2023 via a radio press release. “Contrary to what is stated in the third resolution of this press release, Fecafoot has never and does not intend to respect the arbitration award rendered by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS 2022/2023 Panthère Sportive du Ndé Nzuimanto v./ Fédération Cameroon Football Federation) of Lausanne in Switzerland on August 15, 2023 which declares that “Resolution No. 15 taken by the General Assembly of the Cameroon Football Federation in its session of August 27, 2022 is null and void” and imposes significant financial penalties», declares the Panthere Sportive du Ndé
