February was too warm, now snow is coming again

Changing week

The average temperature from December to February was 2.7 degrees above the long-term average. That’s the second warmest Winter behind that from 2006/07. In Salzburg and innsbruck there was not a single day when the temperature stayed below zero. On average it is in innsbruck 13 and in Salzburg 16 days. In Bregenz. Linz. St. Polten. Graz and Vienna there was a minus record on days with snow cover closed.

The coming week will at least bring no extreme weather. It is changing, and some fresh snow can accumulate above 800 meters. Monday is partly sunny and mild before it closes again. Rain and snow come on Tuesday, with heavy rainfall, especially in the south and west. The snow line is from west to southeast between low altitudes and 1200 meters. The rest of the week is also changing.
