Cold front 34 will advance rapidly over the coast of the Gulf of Mexico and will interact with the subtropical jet stream, causing very heavy rains. The polar air mass associated with the front will cause a “Northern” event on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, the Yucatán Peninsula, as well as the Isthmus and Gulf of Tehuantepec.
Likewise, it will cause a drop in temperature in areas of the northwest, north, northeast, east, center and southeast of the Mexican Republic, in addition to the possible fall of snow or sleet on the tops of the Pico de Orizaba and Cofre de Perote volcanoes.
According to the statement from the agency dependent on the National Water Commission (Conagua), the evening environment will be hot to very hot in entities in the west, south and southeast of Mexico, as well as in the Yucatan Peninsula. Finally, the entry of humidity from both coasts will generate isolated rains in areas of the northeast, west, center and south of Mexico.
