Febles Campos workers sue the Cabildo and Bishopric for prevarication | Radio Club Tenerife | Present

In the complaint to which Radio Club Tenerife has had access, the Company Committee of the Insular Institute of Social and Socio-Health Care and the Assembly of Workers of the Canary Islands asserts that the members of the Governing Council of the aforementioned body acted irregularly to benefit the sublease to the company CLECE SA, of the transfer of 250 patients from the Hospital Febles Campos due to the precarious situation of the building.

According to the complaint, the company CLECE, which since 2017 was awarded the Home Help Service in the metropolitan area, paid a lease to the Bishopric of Tenerife – owner of the property – of 70,000 euros, an amount that was increased by more than 300 percent by the Governing Council of the IASS for a value of more than 200,000 euros. In other words, an outlay of more than one million euros in the 10-year sublease.

“The CLECE company rented part of the building one day before entering the contest to the bishopric and then sublet it to the IASS for a large amount of money, so we understand that, guaranteeing the presumption of innocence, crimes have been committed.” Jose Luis Gutierrez He is the spokesperson for the Canary Islands Workers Assembly. For her part, the Minister of Social Action, Marian Franquet, did not want to make any statements.
