Wuling’s electric car line is increasingly diverse. Not only the Air EV compact electric car, this Chinese manufacturer also offers the BinguoEV to potential electric car buyers.
Interestingly, not only is it different in dimensions and specifications, the Wuling BinguoEV also brings a variety of new features that are not found in the Air EV even though it is the highest type.
Danang Wiratmoko as Product Planning at Wuling Motors said that the differences in features in the BinguoEV and Air EV are actually due to the different ‘concepts’ of these two electric cars.
“Actually, because of this alone, we want to highlight the functionality of this car itself. So compared to the Air EV, actually functionally, this car also offers more spacious space, a bigger trunk, and also a better driving experience. “That’s comfortable, right. So that’s what we really want to include in Binguo,” said Danang.
“If the Air EV was the goal from the start, it was a high-tech car that was very personal, right? Because the shape is more compact,” he continued.
So apart from the difference in product level, this is what makes Wuling provide more features to BinguoEV. It is recorded that there are five new features that Wuling has brought to BinguoEV that are not yet available in Air ev.
These features are Cruise Control, Electric Seat Adjuster (electrically adjusting the seat), Creep Function, DC Charing, and a new driving mode, namely Eco+.
Apart from the features, the different dimensions also give BinguoEV a more spacious accommodation space. So the ability of this electric car with a retro design to carry goods and passengers is better than the Air EV.
Currently the Wuling Air ev is sold in three variants with prices ranging from IDR 206 million to IDR 299.5 million. Meanwhile, the price for BinguoEV has not been announced. Wuling will release prices around the end of this year or early 2024.
