A happy ending to the six-month wait. The child clung to his mother’s breast. The mother’s tears of joy on the child’s forehead. CWC President Shaniba Begum handed over the child brought by the Child Welfare Committee to the parents. Her parents left her after a month and a half. After six months, when the two returned, there was no strangeness in those little eyes. She looked at them alternately and smiled.
The child was handed over to the Child Welfare Committee saying he is an intelligent child who does not talk, cry or fight. Officials from the child welfare committee explained the child’s diet and vaccinations to the parents.
Getting pregnant before the wedding, hiding it out of fear of dishonor, and giving birth after the wedding without anyone knowing about it had worn both their families apart the other day. The shock and concern at the first hearing have faded and the two families await the return of the couple with the baby.
