Fdi against Riccardo Casini, author of Affari tuoi: “Disgusting offence to Meloni”

The photo of the prime minister Georgia Meloni and the daughter Geneva arrived in Beijing and the phrase ‘The mother of fascists is always in China’. It is the post of Richard Cassininew author of the Rai TV program ‘Affari tuoi’. And the controversy erupts. Otherwise the mandatory guarantee of neutrality is lacking. Perhaps an authorial modernization would be more useful than ever, indeed indispensable, given that governments, majorities and governance of Rai are changing, but the music always remains the same. The senator of Fratelli d’Italia thinks the same way, Raffaele Speranzonmember of the Rai Oversight Commission. “A post in bad taste,” he says, “a shameful comment and gratuitous violence. A joke that is not funny, considering the presence of Ginevra, the daughter of the prime minister, who certainly does not deserve such brutality. The ideological drift of some authors and journalists of the public service is dangerous and must be stopped. TeleMeloni is another matter”.

The reference to TeleMeloni is linked to the words of the Prime Minister from Beijing with which she also attacked Republic speaking about the letter sent in recent days to Ursula von der Leyen. And also commenting on Rai issues, from the governance reform (“I am secular, we can talk about it”) to the privatization hypotheses (“I confirm that I do not need a TeleMeloni, I don’t need it, I am not interested, I don’t want it, except for my social channels which however are simply followed by those who want to follow them”).

The party comes to the defense of its leader. “The limit has been crossed”, comments the senator of Fratelli d’Italia Esther Mielimember of the Rai Supervisory Commission. “This hate speech is not acceptable and the entire political class should condemn these spiteful statements that cannot belong to any political debate – says the FdI senator Isabella Rauti – The first female prime minister in the history of the Republic and also a mother is not only a political record but also a symbol of full equality and humanity that everyone should appreciate or at least respect”.
