FDA authorizes second booster of the covid-19 vaccine for people over 50 years old | Univision Health News

In its announcement Tuesday, the FDA included young people 12 years of age and older with weakened immune systems and under the same vaccination instructions, four months after the last booster shot. For them, it would be a fifth dose, since in January the FDA had already authorized one more booster for this specific population. “These are people who have had solid organ transplants or who live with conditions that compromise their immune system,” the note reads.
