The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the urgent use of a novel coronavirus vaccine developed by U.S. pharmaceutical company Modena on the 18th.
The United States is the first country in the world to approve the use of Modena’s vaccine.
This makes it possible for the United States to receive two vaccines along with a vaccine jointly developed by Pfizer and Bio&Tech in Germany.
According to the FDA approval, millions of doses will be distributed over the weekend, arriving at hospitals and health centers as early as the 21st.
Prior to this, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Preliminary Vaccination Advisory Committee will hold a meeting on the 20th to discuss whether to recommend use and to prioritize vaccination.

President Donald Trump announced on Twitter that modder or vaccination was available in the morning of the 18th prior to the FDA’s announcement of approval.
President-elect Joe Biden also welcomed the bright future. Biden plans to get the vaccine on the 21st to promote the safety of the vaccine.
Vice President Mike Pence broadcasted the vaccination live on TV on the 18th.
Currently, the U.S. has 307,000 deaths from coronavirus and more than 3,000 new deaths per day.
