FDA adds 3 new compounds to Schedule III drugs. Details

published Official Gazette In its issue issued today, decision no. 697 of 2022 of the Medicines Authority of Egypt added each of aminopyridine, BOC-4-IP, norfentanil and their salts, analogues, esters, ethers and analogues to Schedule 3 of the Anti-Drug Law .

The Official Gazette, in this morning’s issue, published resolution no. 55 of 2022 of the Medicines Authority relating to the addition of 18 pharmaceutical groups, their derivatives, analogues, esters, ethers, salts of their analogues, esters and preparations, wherever they are, to the second section of table no. 1 attached to the law on drug control and which regulates their use and traffic. .

These groups included fentanyl, alpha-methylfentanyl, para-fluorofentanyl, beta-hydroxyfentanyl, beta-hydroxy-3-fentanyl, 3-methylfentanyl, parafluorobutyrylfentanyl, orthofluorfentanyl, methoxyacetylfentanyl, cyclopropylfentanyl, carfentanil, ocfentanyl, furanyl fentanyl, acryloyl fentanyl, 4-fluoroisobutyrate Fentanyl, Tetrahydrofuranyl Fentanyl, Crotonyl Fentanyl, Valerilfentanil .

The Drug Authority has stated that the substances mentioned in article no. 1 of their articles in the second section of table no. 1 are transferred to the group in the second section of table no. 1, because they are considered derivatives of this group.
