“FCL maintains strong position in Super League after exclusive defense against FCZ and Klidje’s absence”

Exclusive line of defense against FCZ – and Klidje is out

After the Winterthur game is before the Zurich game: on Saturday, the next FCL victory should consolidate the good position in the table.

Things are moving fast with FCL football this week. On Monday, the team of Liechtenstein coach Mario Frick clinched a narrow 2-1 win in Winterthur. On Tuesday there was a day off for this. Only those pros who were not or only partially used on the Schützenwiese had to do a bit of running training in the rain. The three points that Lucerne took from Winterthur also meant a jump from 7th to 3rd place in the Super League table. While coach Frick still had to ask before Good Friday what rank his FCL was in again, he was right to say on Easter Monday evening: “Several teams have already traveled to Winterthur to fulfill their duty. But apart from Servette, we are the only ones to have won in Winterthur this year. And we alone have been able to win twice in Winterthur so far.” Frick was able to add with a little pride: “Together with the Young Boys, we are the winners of this round of games over Easter.” However, the FCL head coach then criticized that his team had made “naive mistakes” in the final phase. “We have to analyze that very carefully, because every time we don’t get away with a black eye.”
