FC Copenhagen’s Champions League adventure is now over.
Against Manchester City, it ended with a clear 6-2 over two meetings.
At 21:00 tonight, the round of 16 between FC Copenhagen and Manchester City kicked off at the Etihad Stadium in England.
Then the score was 3-1 to the home team after the first meeting in Copenhagen.
In FCK, both available Swedes Roony Bardghji and Jordan Larsson started on the bench.
It started hard for FCK, who already conceded a goal in the 5th minute. Scorer was Manuel Akanji.
Just four minutes later, City made it 2-0 via Julian Alvarez.
But hope would be lit for FCK.
In the 29th minute, Mohamed Elyounoussi stepped forward with an FCK reduction to 1-2.
But just before half time another goal came from the home team. Then it was time for Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland to score.
3-1 at the halftime break.
In the second half, Roony Bardghji had to jump into the action, minute 58.
But it made little difference, as City held out the entire line and won 3-1.
In total, the double meeting ended 6-2 to the blues from Manchester.
Thus, the European adventure is over for FCK for this time.
