ZLATÉ MORAVCE – Footballers FC ViOn Zlaté Moravce and FC Spartak Trnava drew 1:1 in Sunday’s match of the 2nd round of the Niké League.
In the 65th minute, substitute Marco Djuričin opened the scoring, sending the guests into the lead from the eleven. They played weakened from the 86th minute after Adrian Zeljković’s second yellow card. The home team took advantage of the power play just a minute later, when Richard Nagy headed home Denis Duga’s cross. It was the first point of the league season for both teams after losing in the first round.

When we took the lead, we should have kept it. In the end, we take the point, which was before the match it’s definitely not enough for us. However, the draw is fair in the end. ViOn showed quality, but our performance definitely showed fatigue. Sometimes there are unlucky periods in football, we concede in the final minutes, but that’s part of football.”
Podbrezová kept a clean slate at home
Podbrezova’s footballers also won in the 2nd round of the Niké League when they beat Žilina 2:0 on Sunday evening on their field. They thus maintained their leading position in the table thanks to a better score than second place Trenčín, which also had six points.

In the first half, the home team could not turn their advantage into a clear chance. The guests threatened after the set piece with two sharp shots by Jambor and Stojčevský, which Ludha stopped. After the change of sides, the substitute players of the “Jeleziars” revived the game, and after Galčík’s shot, the goalpost shook thanks to Belek, who then dug out Paraj’s header after a corner kick from under the crossbar.
Galčík’s goal was ruled out for close offside, but in the end, this striker was happy in the 58th minute after a hidden dotted shot from the edge of the penalty area. The ‘Shošoni’ could answer with a direct kick from Myslovič, but the right post was against it. And so the Podbrezovians struck in the 70th minute, when Kabongo found his way in the penalty area and set the final result at 2:0.
