For the first time since his engagement at the beginning of July, Jackson Irvine stood with his teammates from FC St. Pauli on the training ground on Kollaustraße.
Hamburg – On Monday the time had finally come! Newcomer Jackson Irvine (28) trained for the first time with the professionals of the FC St. Pauli.

Gone are the days of playing hide-and-seek, the times of solitary turning around the training grounds on Kollaustraße are also over.
The 28-year-old was finally on the pitch with the derby winners last Friday. The 33-time Australian international had to wait for this moment.
And he immediately showed why the people in charge at Hibernian FC from Scotland pulled him away.

In many actions he showed himself to be ball and pass safe. In typical Hamburg weather, however, he understandably still lacked understanding with his teammates.
Trainer Timo Schultz (42) and his assistants will work on this together with him in the coming days and weeks. Then Irvine will quickly be able to represent another alternative in the midfield.
After arriving at FC St. Pauli in early July, those responsible were shocked by Irvine’s condition. “He’s not served here as we imagined,” said Schultz, who wanted to be careful with the midfielder.

After the three international matches in the World Cup qualifiers in early to mid-July, which Irvine played with Australia, the 28-year-old had problems with his calf. “We have that under control and have built it up well,” said Schultz early on.
The training on Monday showed this at least once.
Like Irvine also returned Sebastian Ohlsson (28) and Jannes Wieckhoff (21) back on the pitch. On the other hand, the new father was missing from the first session after the derby victory Maximilian Dittgen (26), goalscorer Find Ole Becker (21) as well as Luca Zander (26), who buckled on Friday.
