FC Porto Otavio Transfer: Coimbra MG Claims Economic Rights & FIFA Deadline

The Brazilian club holds 32% of the player’s economic rights, which means that it will be entitled to receive around 12.750 million euros, according to the Ge portal, from the Globo network.

FC Porto sold Otávio to Al Nassr for 60 million euros and the Saudis will have already paid the first tranche of the transfer in September and, now, Coimbra MG claims the corresponding part of the deal.

According to the same publication, FIFA announced that FC Porto has until December 5th to comment on the payment.

When Otávio was sold to Al Nassr, FC Porto wrote the following in a statement. “Further information is that the player’s economic rights, which were held by Coimbra Esporte Clube (32.5%), were renegotiated, increasing them to a fixed value of €12,750,000 (twelve million, seven hundred and fifty thousand euros)”.
