It is available at “FuPa” and at “Fussball.de”: the live ticker. FC Ostereistedt/Rhade has now created an additional option – the “live ticker” on WhatsApp. It is not as detailed as the other two, but it has one big advantage: you do not have to download it using an app, because it runs directly on WhatsApp – and almost everyone in Germany has that on their smartphone.
The disadvantage: You have to be invited to use the WhatsApp live ticker. But that doesn’t bother FC Ostereistedt/Rhade. “It’s not a live ticker for everyone, but rather for club members, friends and fans. And it also strengthens the cohesion within the club,” explains chairman Andreas Kierath.
Anyone who takes part in the live ticker group can share the score of the Ostereistedt team with others, and the recipients of the messages can also write comments themselves. There are now two live ticker groups at the FC, one for the women’s teams and one for the men’s teams. “We now have more than 120 members in each group,” says Andreas Kierath happily. But all live tickers have one thing in common: there always have to be live reporters on site.
