The new FC Nantes coach Raymond Domenech, and his assistant Robert Duverne are arrived this Wednesday morning a little after 8 a.m. at La Jonelière, the club’s training center. They started to lead a first training with the players shortly after 10 a.m. The new coach is by the way not arrived first : Alban Lafont, FC Nantes goalkeeper, crossed the gates two minutes before him.
Supporters play circus music near the pitches
22 players are present for training, with Patrick Collot and Cyril Moine, from the staff of FC Nantes. Of Canaries supporters came on site. Two of them came hang poster with marked “Kita circus”, on one of the gates at the entrance to the training center. They also have broadcast a message against club president Waldemar Kita, on a speaker mounted on a car, parked on the road along the training ground: “Raymond Domenech will explain his vision of football to us, enough to make us laugh at the next weekend at Kita Circus!”. All to circus music.
“Last time they were on a hill too”
In walking past journalists, posted on a small hill to watch the training, Raymond Domenech’s assistant, Robert Duverne, said: “Last time they were on a hill too”. Robert Duverne was the physical trainer for the French football team between 2006 and 2010. He hit the headlines by throwing his whistle during an altercation with Patrice Evra during the 2010 World Cup and the episode of “Knysna fiasco”.
