FC Nantes Faces Dilemma with Young Professional Players – Affamah, Achi, and Voisine Among Those Stuck in Reserve

As with every transfer window, the subject of managing young professional players from FC Nantes comes back to the heart of the discussions. According to information from West France, several elements would be tempted by a loan to garner more playing time with the aim of integrating into the rotation of the first team or of a rebound away from Jonelière. Already this season, Junior Diaz and Lohann Doucet have been loaned to Ligue 2.

Affamah, Achi and Voisine stuck in reserve

Concerning the three Canaries closest to the first team, first. Nathan Zézé has several offers but management has closed the door. Bastien Meupiyou has been injured since his return from Indonesia where he played in the U18 World Cup and is still hesitant to extend his contract despite being the subject of interest from several big teams and lacking prospects in Nantes. Stredair Appuah, finally, always alternates between the pros and the reserves.

Three other elements are looking for a new development opportunity, in Nantes or elsewhere. They are Joe-Loïc Affamah, Mohamed Achi and Robin Voisine. Older than their teammates (2002 generation), accustomed to the N2 or N3 level, their horizons in Nantes seem blocked in the short term by the emergence of younger players as well as by the already plethoric number of the first team. Yannis Mbemba, whose contract expires next June, could also pack his bags soon.
