Football-Facobly: FC Juventus de Zouatta1 wins the 14th edition of the Dominique Ouattara Cup
FC Juventus de Zouatta1 is the big winner of the 14th edition of the Children Of Africa Foundation Football tournament in the locality of Facobly. He won the Dominique Ouattara Cup named after the First Lady of Ivory Coast, sponsor of the tournament against FC Major from the locality of Fagnampleu. It was Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the Philippe Kouhon maracana stadium in Zouatta in the presence of the Sub-Prefect of Facobly, officials from the Ministry of Sports and Youth as well as the traditional chiefs of the different localities who took part in this tournament since July 2023.
It was with the score of 1 (one) goal to 0 (zero) that the FC Juventus team from Zouatta1 defeated FC Major from Fagnampleu in the final of the Children’s Foundation Football tournament Of Africa with the Dominique Ouattara Cup at Zouatta1-Facobly this Thursday, September 7, 2023.
Indeed, the locality of Zouatta1 in the Facobly department is hosting for the 3rd time the Children Of Africa Foundation Football tournament featuring the Dominique Ouattara Cup. This year there were 16 teams from 16 villages in the sub-prefecture of Facobly and surrounding villages to take part in this sports competition initiated by the foundation of the wife of the President of the Republic for young people aged 7 to 15.
“The year 2023 having been declared the year of youth by my dear husband, President Alassane Ouattara, we have decided to extend this activity to a greater number of localities and involve as many children as possible in this competition. This is why this year, the event will be held in 70 locations across Côte d’Ivoire, instead of the usual 50 communities,” revealed Mrs. Dominique Ouattara on July 11 during the tournament launching ceremony at her office. firm located in Abidjan-Cocody.
Zouatta1, a sports festival which mobilized an entire department
The locality of Zouatta1, which is in its 3rd phase of this tournament, was like in previous years the crossroads during these 2023 school holidays for the youth sports festival. The tournament which took place peacefully in a period particularly marked by municipal and regional elections allowed the young people of Facobly to flourish and fraternize.

Mrs. Dominique Ouattara for this pleasure that she gives to the young people of Ivory Coast every vacation in order to occupy the little ones healthily. Thank you to everyone who contributed directly or indirectly to the success of this sporting event. Congratulations to the organizing committee, all the teams and the various notables of the participating villages. Many thanks to the executives and especially to the administrative authorities, in particular to the sub-prefect of Facobly for his unwavering support and his effective presence at all stages of the tournament. Finally, we take this opportunity to request the organization of the 15th edition, as it contributes to the human development of our young people but also to peace and cohesion between the participating populations” said Philippe Kouhon, son and executive of Zouatta1, promoter of the tournament in the Facobly department.
Following him, the Sub-Prefect of Facobly, Mr. Sylla Mory paid tribute to the First Lady Dominique Ouattara and provided advice to the youth of Facobly “who during this sporting competition showed their maturity and gratified the public with ‘a beautiful football’
