FC Emmen surprised on Monday with the arrival of Simon Tibbling. The old acquaintance of FC Groningen signed a contract on Monday until 2022 at De Oude Meerdijk.
Tibbling, 25, has been wearing the Brondby IF shirt for the past three seasons. He previously played for Groningen. With that club he won the KNVB Cup in 2015. Tibbling left the back door of Groningen in 2017.
Tibbling played a total of 75 Eredivisie games for Groningen. “I look back on my time in the Netherlands with great pleasure”, says a happy Tibbling at the club site of Emmen.
“I meet a lot of old acquaintances at FC Emmen, I like that. If you already know the trainer and a number of fellow players, it is always easier to feel at home at a new club. I really feel that I am here ended up in a warm bath. “
