Takes second place
FC Emmendingen won 6:3 away at FC Freiburg-St. Georgen took second place in the district league. Already in the first half, the guests set the course for victory and pulled away to 4:0. “We came out of the dressing room a bit sleepy and conceded the 4-1 straight away,” said FCE trainer Pascal Spri. But Emmendinger stayed focused and scored two more goals to make it 6-1. The game was thus decided. “After that we weren’t that focused anymore,” said Spri, whose team still conceded “two unnecessary goals” to make it 6-3. In his opinion, Jakob Griesbaum and Masimo Colucci stood out from a homogeneous eleven. Griesbaum played in the center on the six; Colucci, who is often heavily involved professionally, played his first game in the second half of the season from the start and was rewarded with a goal.
