FC Den Bosch fans are not allowed to go away for the moment. The club’s next two away games will be played without an FC Den Bosch crowd, the club reports on Monday afternoon. The match between Willem II and FC Den Bosch was suspended on Friday evening after the riots in the stands.
These are the matches against GVVV (October 18 in the cup) and MVV (October 22 in the Kitchen Champion Division). “This gives the organization space and time to make new agreements with the parties involved and to set up processes,” according to the club.
FC Den Bosch will also play Helmond Sport later this year without an audience. That match is considered a high-risk match. Den Bosch therefore wants to “be sure to play it safe”.
Helmond Sport
Going in without an audience was already a suspended sentence because it had gone wrong earlier in the away match against Helmond Sport on 6 May. FC Den Bosch therefore have an advantage over that suspended sentence.
Meanwhile, the club wants to “think of a more rigorous approach” whereby “until further notice only known season ticket holders are allowed to play away games”.
“Furthermore, the maximum number of tickets per away match will be drastically reduced for the time being,” the statement concluded. The team emphasizes the “bad apples” within the fans. The club says it cannot and will not accept the misconduct.
Distance
Earlier today, FC Den Bosch distanced themselves from fan misconduct on Friday night during their match against Willem II. In a response, the club said some of the supporters “showed their worst side in the Willem II stadium”.
The ME cleared the branch with FC Den Bosch fans at the Willem II stadium on Friday night. Den Bosch residents were taken home by bus.
It went wrong more often
It wasn’t the first time. He often went wrong with FC Den Bosch fans. A few weeks ago things went wrong again when TOP Oss visited Den Bosch.
Fans from both clubs clashed and threw torches and stones at the police. Several flight attendants and officers were injured. Police arrested eleven people in the riots.
He was also restless at FC Den Bosch games in the Kitchen Champion Division earlier this year. In April, fans threw smoke bombs, sausage rolls and beer on De Vliert’s pitch during the match against FC Volendam.
In May, officers took on fireworks, stones and soda cans during the match against Helmond Sport. This happened when the police separated the two groups of supporters who were looking for a confrontation with each other.
