The current international break was used for a friendly at FC Blau-Weiss Linz. The opponent was none other than the current series champion and Bundesliga table leader RB Salzburg.
In the Taxham training center, our team showed a very ambitious performance from the start and took a 1-0 lead through Simon Seidl in the 38th minute. However, Salzburg were able to equalize before the break in the 43rd minute through Crescenti. Thanks to a tremendous performance in the 2nd half and a goal by Ronivaldo after an hour, the blue and whites were able to score a real respectable win and win the game 2-1.
Coach Gerald Scheiblehner after the game:
“It was a very good test and the expected intense game. Both sides did really well today! We really put in a very strong performance in the second half and could have won the game even better. It was important for us that we got all the players involved today. You could see that everyone is ready for the championship finish and that they were also on the train in a friendly during the international break.”
