Bayern Munich and Adidas – this is much more than just a supplier partnership. FCB has worn the three stripes on its jersey for over 60 years. The sporting goods giant from Franconia has also been a shareholder since 2002. And it’s no coincidence that Herbert Hainer, a long-time Adidas boss, is now the club’s president.

Sponsoring the German record champions is also financially worthwhile. Since the last contract extension in 2015, Bayern have been collecting 60 million euros from Herzogenaurach every year. And that until 2030. Lonely top in the Bundesliga – but Bayern are increasingly being left behind in the international shark tank.
Barcelona puts everything in the shade
Last year, Manchester United shocked the competition by announcing a new deal with Adidas that would bring the club more than a billion euros by 2035. Now even that is being overshadowed.
