FC Bayern Munich remains unbeaten in the 36th group game of the Champions League. On matchday 2, FCB won 2-1 (0-0) at FC Copenhagen.
The fact remains: FC Bayern last lost a Champions League group game on September 27, 2017, 3-0 at Paris Saint-Germain. Against Copenhagen, two substitutes played a crucial role in the winning goal – as did keeper Sven Ulreich. The grades and individual reviews of the FCB players.

Had hardly any opportunities to excel – until the fifth minute of stoppage time. Then with the extremely strong save from Larsson’s header deflected by Choupo-Moting – sensational. “The way he gets it out is gigantic,” marveled Joshua Kimmich on Prime Video. Powerless when conceding a goal. Grade: 2.5.

The right-back was a new addition to the team, but remained largely ignored. Not always up to speed against the ball on Copenhagen’s counterattacks. Offensively completely inconspicuous, hardly ever went deep effectively. Grade: 4.

It is typical of Bayern’s game that the two central defenders took most of the ball action. The Frenchman delivered a largely attentive performance without particularly shining. But at 0-1, he wasn’t close enough to Claesson. Grade: 3.5.

The South Korean didn’t make any mistakes either, but instead defended with foresight and clarity. Unhappy that his block ended up with goal scorer Lerager before the score was 0-1. Came up with most of the clarifying actions at Bayern. Grade: 3.5.

Offered some decent dynamic runs. However, he sometimes moved in too late on the counterattack and was also too far away for Elyounoussi’s header (27′). Slightly improved in the second half. In total with at least eight ball conquests. Grade: 3.5.

Positioned as a six-man against the ball, the Austrian moved into the ten-man area when he had the ball. Was involved in Bayern’s best move to date (19th). Very active and happy to run. Often looked for depth, but at times acted too high. Therefore, he was sometimes missing to support Kimmich when Copenhagen counterattacked. Grade: 4.

His shot in the 29th minute, which flew just over the box, was Bayern’s best opportunity in the first half. Was once badly tunneled during a counterattack by the home side and didn’t always show good positional play in these situations. Grade: 4.

FC Copenhagen vs. FC Bayern Munich – Scores: Leroy Sané
Best offensive player in section one. Led by far the most duels (24), but also lost the most balls by far (29!). Very hardworking, a lot of actions went through him. Strong assist to Kane, who was, however, offside (16th). Much less noticeable in the second half. Note 3.

FC Copenhagen vs. FC Bayern Munich – Scores: Jamal Musiala
Weakly played a counterattack after a good half hour, so a pass to the other side would have been the more promising option. Shortly afterwards in the penalty area with the wrong decision. Sometimes he stood too high and remained unhappy in his actions for a long time. But: with the brilliant individual action and the dribbling when he scored the goal to make it 1-1. It was Musiala’s first goal of the entire season. Grade: 3.5.

The Frenchman also acted too statically, was rarely able to use his pace against the aggressively attacking Danes and made more wrong decisions than right ones. Grade: 4.

FC Copenhagen vs. FC Bayern Munich – Scores: Harry Kane
Recorded what was supposed to be Bayern’s first attempt on goal, but was offside (16′). It wasn’t a factor against the deep defending opponent because he only got a small amount of space and hardly even let himself fall. Only managed six ball touches in the first 45 minutes. But he was there for the decisive move: his header extension to Müller made the 2-1 possible – and thus prevented a worse grade. Grade: 4.

FC Copenhagen vs. FC Bayern Munich – Grades: Substitute
Mathys Tel (from 77th): Came on for Sané and moved to the left wing. Six minutes later he scored the winner – his sixth goal in his tenth competitive game. Coach Thomas Tuchel took the win. No rating.
Thomas Müller (from 77th): Laimer went down for him. Played the cross to Goretzka’s header (81′). Shortly afterwards with the strong preparation for the 2-1. No rating.
Leon Goretzka (from 78th): came on as a substitute for Musiala. Just failed with a header just three minutes later. No rating.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (from 87th): Coman left the pitch for him. Deep in the follow-up game, it was too far away from Larsson, which almost meant the equaliser. No rating.
