FC Bayern Munich won its dress rehearsal against Tottenham Hotspur FC on Saturday evening and thus won the Visit Malta Cup. The final score was 3:2 (3:1).
After Bayern were shocked after just a few seconds and had to accept the 0-1, they fought their way back into the game. And how! First Dayot Upamecano was there (16th, Tel), then Serge Gnabry made it 2-1 (31st, Müller). Thomas Müller was finally the one who was able to increase the lead to 3-1 shortly before the half-time whistle (44th). He took a Guerreiro free kick.
After about an hour, Tottenham came back to 2:3 (61st minute), but the German record champions were able to hold on to the win.

Coach Vincent Kompany’s team played with a top line-up. The Belgian football coach used the 4-2-3-1 system favored in Bavaria. Interesting observation: Joshua Kimmich, seventh in the LigaInsider season rankingplayed in central midfield. It will probably become his main position again.
New signing João Palhinha only came on for Aleksandar Pavlović after about an hour, and top striker Harry Kane also played for a few minutes against his former team. He was substituted in the 80th minute. It was his first appearance after his return to FCB.
Sacha Boey (load management) and Alphonso Davies and Leroy Sané (both in rehabilitation training) were absent. New signing Hiroki Ito will also be out for a while. Michael Olise was also absent. He recently won the silver medal at the Olympic Games.
