Mnchen – From now on, the Bayern stars will have to get along in the quarantine training camp in Grassau am Chiemsee without their accompanying families – because there is a violation of the Corona rules. This was announced by the responsible district office in Traunstein on Friday evening at the request of “Mnchner Merkur”.
“All persons who are not absolutely necessary for the implementation of the training operations have to leave the hotel today”, the office made it clear that this had also been communicated to FC Bayern and the hotel operator. Bayern will compete at SC Freiburg on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky and in the AZ live ticker).
District Office wants to “punish” Verste
The implementation of the quarantine training camp is “basically possible for professional athletes according to the current regulations. It is not allowed, however, that relatives are accommodated in the hotel who have nothing to do with the implementation of the training.”
A more detailed examination of the facts is now in progress, “if misdemeanors are found, they will be punished consistently.” The quarantine training camps had been arranged by the German Football League (DFL) for all Bundesliga clubs in order to ensure that the last two match days ran smoothly. Some of the Bavarians traveled to Chiemsee with players’ wives and children.
Apparently Flick didn’t know that women weren’t allowed in the hotel
The order should come unprepared for the record champions. As recently as Friday afternoon, Munich’s coach Hansi Flick had the following to say: “We clarified everything in advance. The national players have their wives and families with them six or up to nine weeks. That’s why they appreciate it very much. “
On Thursday, the DFL also confirmed that the club had not violated the hygiene concept of professional football. “The actual design of the quarantine training camp (among other things with regard to the premises, process and group of people) is the responsibility of the clubs,” said a spokesman for the “kicker”.
