Tottenham Hotspur will probably give up top performer Harry Kane next summer.
The 29-year-old’s contract does not expire until 2024, but a decent fee will not be missed and the English international will therefore be allowed to go.
As is well known, a hot candidate for Kane’s commitment is FC Bayern Munich, who would very much like to secure the services of the striker.
But Tottenham’s league rivals Manchester United have also tasted blood and are showing interest in Kane.
113 million transfer fee for Bayern probably too high
The explosiveness for Bayern in this case is the high transfer fee that arose from the entry of the “Red Devils” into the bidding race.
Because for an “internal” transfer, Tottenham demands a whopping 113 million euros – a price that Munich, according to “Sport.de”, might not be willing to pay.
“There are two aspects here: Can we afford such a transfer – and do we want to afford such a transfer? Basically, I don’t rule out anything in life,” says neo-FCB CFO Michael Diederich.
It remains to be seen which club Kane will ultimately choose, but it is certain that it will not be a “cheap affair” for either of the two interested parties.
