João Félix got off to a promising start at FC Barcelona with three goals and three assists from eight competitive games. A Barça source told Catalan sports newspaper Sport: “We have the whole season to work out an offer that will allow us to keep Joao Félix. We are very happy with his performances and he is a player who is very popular in all areas of the club.” Over the next few months, FC Barcelona wants to work on a formula that will enable them to stay long-term.
The “Mundo Deportivo” recently reported that Atlético would demand 80 million euros for the attacker next summer. According to “Sport”, it would be conceivable that Barça would extend the loan deal until 2025 and include a purchase option. It remains to be seen whether this would also be in Atlético’s interest. João Félix is contractually bound to the Madrilenians until 2029.
