FC Barcelona wants to sell stadium names to Spotify

The financial situation at FC Barcelona is known to be bad. The Catalans’ mountain of debt is over a billion. On the other hand, a new deal with an advertising partner should help.

The Spanish football top club FC Barcelona has landed a new main sponsor. As the Catalans announced on Tuesday, audio streaming service Spotify will become shirt sponsor for both men and women for the next four years.

The stadium will also be renamed “Spotify Camp Nou”. However, the members still have to vote on this at an extraordinary meeting on April 3rd. According to Spanish media, Barca are set to receive €57.5m per season.
